I've shot thousands of steel cased of various manufacturers in RRA rifles and carbines, Armalite rifles and carbines, Spikes carbine, DSA carbines, Colt rifle and carbines, Bushmaster carbines, Fulton Armory carbine and DPMS rifles and carbines. The only rifle that didn't like it was the Armalite rifle which it short stroked. Otherwise it feed and shot fine, accurate enough for the price and knocked a coyote down every now and then. Shoot it if you want, if not more for the rest of us.

No joke. If the mild steel of the cases hurts your hardened (sometime tool)steel bolt/extractor, you have bigger issues than choice of ammo.

Mine run steel ok. I keep a hundred or so around for when someone else is shooting my AR.

Crap

Notice the capital "C". I had my wife pick up some ammo once and she brought back the Tulammo. I tried it. First 2 FTF next one, the third if you are counting, jammed soo tightly in the chamber had to drive it out with a 12 gauge cleaning rod and a rubber mallet. Never again.

Sounds like a problem with YOUR rifle, not the ammo.

I've run thousands of rounds of WOlf, Tula, Bear, etc through my AR's; no more issues with it than with any other cheap ammo.

My Core-15 runs ok with steel but it hates the Green and White box Remington.

This discussion, (often argument), rages on with the same results most every time. Speaking personally, I reload so anything with a steel case is useless to me. With that said I do have a stockpile of steel cased 7.62 X 39 MM specifically for my AK-47 platform rifles. The AK -47 was designed around steel cased ammunition. The AR-15 was not. This is why you hear about so much trouble with steel cased ammo in AR-15 rifles.

How "good" steel cased ammunition is depends on what you want to do with your AR-15 rifle, and how it is set up. For example if you like to play Action Jackson, and execute run and gun type "drills", where you're blasting away, rapid fire at silhouette sized targets at very close ranges. For this steel cased ammo is far more attractive than it would be to a guy who has a $1,500.00 match barreled AR-15 with $2,000.00 worth of optics mounted on it, set up for long range varmint shooting, or 600 yard High Power Matches. For this type of shooting where accuracy and consistency is paramount, steel cased ammo is useless.

It is what it is. Cheap, filthy, and for the most part inaccurate. Now if your usage isn't effected by these parameters, you might have found a new friend in steel cased ammo.

again, a simple spring change will increase cyclic reliability in the AR-15 platform when using steel case ammunition.
