Finished the sling. Because I was using the tubular nylon webbing I couldn't run it through any sewing machine available to me. So, I had to hand sew it, with a broken collar bone.. Not as bad as one might think actually. I ended up getting one of those heavy duty leather hand sewing kits, ( the kind used to sew horse harnesses and seats in a pick up truck, real heavy duty..)
Ended up working out real nice. The material is very strong and will certainly hold to anything I will put it through. I opted to make the sling in the same fashion as some of the other two point quick adjust slings. I have it adjust for the gun-up position but can quickly tighten it for carrying tight to the body and vise-verse again to slacken it. Functions fairly well for what I ended up paying for it.
All in all, it cost me a total of $15, including the hand sewer. Certainly worth every penny, and I certainly can't see paying the $30-$60+ for other name brand slings. If anyone else is interested, I can give a run down of the parts I used and how I mocked it up pre sewing.
I will post pics up either tomorrow or monday once I can get better lighting.
