My First AR-15 Build Is Complete!
Saturday I had the opportunity to take my AR-15 (an M&P 15) out and shoot it for the first time have installed the last components I intend to purchase for the rifle. Here's a photo of the finished product at the range:
I wrote an article on my site where I detail the build process, and all the components I purchased and installed on the M&P 15 with several more photographs:

This is prolly gonna be a stupid question but ill ask anyway. Im looking to build a similar rifle but I was hoping to have my rails sit flush with the upper receiver. Your pic looks like there is a space between the delta the the rails. Im curious what the differance is between the picture on the DD website and your pic. See how they are differat? Im confused. Look at the pic on the homepage. Thanks
Do you need a deltra ring, bec the DD site looks like there isnt one on that gun

Its the pic of the DDm4. Thanks

If you mean the red dot (not the 3x magnifier...both are Aimpoint) then no...the BUIS would not clear to flip up.

Just looked at the DD web site and read up a little on their rails. Its a difference in how the rails are mounted. Some use the ring to secure the rails, it appears that SOME, not all, of the DD rails bolt on instead of using the ring. Your choice.
anyway, good looking rifle there Rolex!

If you look at the DDm4 on the homepage( it changes pics) you can see a picture of a rifle with their quads rails on it. The rails sit exactly flush with the upper receiver and you cant even see a nut of delta ring. However on the above pics you can see the delta ring and it doesnt come together like the picture on the DD website. Im curious what the differances are between the two? Here is another pic of the rails sitting flush. Thanks
