Aimpoint M2 Not Working

So, I recently picked up an Aimpoint M2, used, off of Ebay. I know what you're thinking, "Why in a million years would you buy a sight like that off of Ebay?" I did so because it was a great price, about $220. It is real, because the Aimpoint logo is laser inscribed, not stamped. Apparently it was seller refurbished. So I got, thinking it would work. Popped a battery in, nothing. Turned it around, still nothing. At this point I was getting very frustrated. Searched the internet for a couple weeks, and I couldn't find anything. So that is why I am here, does anyone know why this sight is not working? I will provide pictures for the battery compartment. Like I said, I am very frustrated.

I would probably contact seller and use Ebays buyer protection program.

That thing looks banged up a bit...it may be broken.

Personally, I'd contact aimpoint and see how much it would cost to send it back in for repair...I'm not 100% how aimpoint does teir business but most good companies will fix their stuff and often for less than you think.

If not I'd say your SOL...not to rub some salt in but this why I never buy used optics unless I know the seller personally...

I just did, but they cannot fix due to it being a "military" sight.

it is/was government property

it is either stolen or "deemed non serviceable" so they will not repair it.
