The SR556 is a carbine. The only difference between the model you're talking about and the regular SR556E is a slightly shorter barrel with a permanently attached compensator making it a total length of 16in, whereas the SR556E has a 16in barrel + compensator.

Larue LT100 (4XDOS)

Supposed to hold zero better than the stock mount. I think it weighs less too.

Ruger SR-556E Handguard Covers

Because the handguard heats up like a branding iron and burns you without them.

SR-556E - Obscura Edition

Thought you might want to see a picture.
Almost finished. Looking for a good single point sling. Any suggestions?

BDS Tactical makes a good bungee one, and GGG makes a good non-permanent/don't have to take the buffer tube off sling mount.

Hit the 100 yard range at Carter's Country today and zeroed the ACOG. Had to leave before I could retrieve my targets. Looking forward to the next range day already.

Range Report - SR-556E - 100 yards
Headed out to Carter's Country and ran a few mags on the 100 yard range.
Last range visit to zero the sights was rushed so I made a few more corrections.
Left target and middle targets are sitting at the bench. The target on the right is a mixture of bench and standing.
I shot 250 rounds, zero malfunctions, and everything was on paper.
