Hey, it is a Monolithic upper, The entire upper is all one milled piece that is specific to this rifle. There is no way to change it without replacing the whole upper. If you have any more questions just hit me up. Take it easy brother.

I gotcha. I've really wanted to build something around a Mega monolithic upper. It looked monolithic in the pic but I wasn't sure. Is it the Mega or Vltor?

The entire rifle is all Colt, the only pieces externally that arent Colt are the Bolt ons; Flashlight mount, and Fenix light, PWS FSC556 Flash Suppressor/Compensator, VLTOR Butt stock, TROY IND. Vertical Grip, Magpul Aluminum Trigger guard, Magpul B.A.D. Lever, ERGO Pistol grip, Spectre Sling, GG&G EOTech lens cover, GG&G sling swivel mount, EOTech Holosight etc and BCM mod3 Charging handle. The only internal parts that are not Colt are the Trigger springs made by JP Enterprises. So the upper and lower receivers are Colt 100% Genuine Colt baby... other than the trigger springs as mentioned.

Yes sir, the Full name of the rifle is: COLT LAW ENFORCEMENT CARBINE M4 STYLE SEMI-AUTO MODEL: LE6940 Monolithic Carbine Caliber 5.56MM. They no longer offer the exact rifle to civilians. You can still buy them off the internet or private sales. The rifle is still made but is now listed as the Colt SPORTER M4, model SP6940. It is the exact rifle with the exception of the "RESTRICTED MILITARY/GOVERNMENT LAW ENFORCEMENT/EXPORT USE ONLY" warning stamped on the right side of the lower receiver. Also the "COLTS LAW ENFORCEMENT CARBINE CAL. 556MM LE blah,blah,blah" stamped on the left side of the lower receiver. Other than that the rifle is the same. Very Very damn good rifle, It is more rare now due to the markings but thats it. I love her, haven't had one single issue with her since purchase.

Thank you very much willow, I agree. I love every detail of her. I think I am going to put the B.A.D. A.S.S. Battle Arms Development - Ambidextrous Safety Selector. Hopefully she will be done. But you never know, take it easy.
