My first build...
I already own a Delton 16" carbine and now I have decided to build my next rifle. I am going with another carbine length and so far this is where I am at with the build:
- Daniel Defense 16" carbine Cold Hammer Forged M4 barrel
- Daniel Defense AR15 Lite Rail 9.5 FSP
- Gemtech/SEI Vortex flash hider
I have the following items on order:
And I am thinking about getting a Spikes lower with my logo engraved on the mag well...
Another thing I am looking for is a good ambi-charging handle.
The rest of the project will probably be pimped out in Magpul furniture...LOL

Looks like it going to be a great build... Why not a middy this time since you have the carbine already?

Thanks...The idea of building a mid length came to me after I purchased the 9.5 carbine hand rail. I couldn't return it and since I had spent over $300 for it I figured I was stuck on another carbine build. I even thought about a gas piston build but I am stuck on the old reliable direct impingement system.... Besides, I am going to continue to save my money and over time make this a good quality carbine rifle.
My Del-Ton's barrel is not chrome lined and has rifle feed ramps which makes me want to change out the barrel. With that in mind, I thought about swapping it out for a 18" rifle length 6.8 SPC or a 7.62 x 39 and turning my Del-Ton into a sniper build....
Oh the possibilities are endless, LOL

Thanks, the AR Lite Rail 9.5 FSP is pretty solid too. I almost went with the Omega on my Delton since you didn't have to remove the barrel to assemble it but decided to go with the Lite Rail since I am building one. I may still get the Omega for my Delton, just a little broke at the moment...I wonder why?
