High Standard manufacturing

Anyone know about this company, and it's AR style rifles?

Local Gun shop just got one of these in. M4 style carbine model. They have a "brand" called interarms and that's the model of the carbine. I see they have pictures of the gun on their website of the "High Standard" gun in the same model. Sorry if this is confusing guys, I'm learning too as I type this.

I felt the rifle, and looked it over. Feels like a decent AR style carbine. I didn't see any "technical" data on their webpage so I shot them an e-mail asking them about...

-Chrome lined barrel
-Gun made "in house" or are parts sourced
-Warranty

From what I learned about first hand about the gun when I was at the shop...

-Carbine M4 style.
-Bayonet lug.
-<8> mark on front sight.
-5.56 NATO 1/9 twist.
-6 position buttstock.
-Rear flip up sight (not a very good one IMO).
-1 20rd M16 style magazine.
-Test fired from factory. Came with test round case.

Dale is throwing in a 30rd steel magazine, and said he would sell it to me for $799.

How about paying for a real gun safe? Or first and last months rent as well as a deposit? What about helping the fokes out and give them some money for you staying there? Just wondering.

I know for the same price I could buy a complete spike tactical rifle. He still has that double star 20" flattop for $650 slightly used. He told me about this carbine that was coming in, and just wanted to learn more about it. I'll have to do some more research, and wait to hear back from High Standard. I like to know about different guns. That way I can let the next person know.

I guess my point of view on usefulness is far more mature than yours. I guess when I was about 19 I would have done the same thing, instead of paying my way with my parents I would have bought something too. If I had guns stolen from me and was planning on buying more, I would get a safe first. Hows that for useful? Spend the money on a safe, then start looking for a used AR that you can get. I've seen lightly used Armalites go for 600. Worth it to me. 200 or 300 on a safe and 600 on the AR. Whatevers left, through it at your parents and thank them for a roof over your head.

I've bought 2 complete AR's and they both came with a magazine. Thats most likely the case here instead of it being "thrown in" on the deal.

Honestly, for the price you can get a known brand of AR. Even if you couldn't, its $800. $200 more will ensure that you get a rifle that would have a long life vs. an unknown.
