Ar sbr build for under $1000

There is a great thread on this page that's titled "ar build for under 1000" that provides links and details on how to build a nice ar for under $1000. I wanted to build an ar but sbr'd. I already have the paper work for the tax stamp. Is it possible to make a build under $1000 (with the $200 tax included). If can we add links and share info just as infomative as the other thread.

Yes, it's possible to make an SBR for under $1000. But the "accessories" and "add-ons" will make or break you.

A decent bolt and barrel will be your most expensive and most important parts of the build. Once that's out of the way, the rest of it kinda falls into place pending your budget.

I've seen lowers for as low as $65-$80 lately.

I think I have about $850 in my SBR (AR) including the tax. This thread would probably fit better in the NFA section of the forum.

Yes - its easy to do.

But the hard part is keeping your wish list under $1000.00

I know it may seem a lil redundant but can sompeone write up a recommended parts list. For some reason I tend to find parts lists little by litter and its hard to figure out whats necessary and whats just for play. I'm trying to shop now for a build around Christmas. If it helps at all I want a light weight are fitted with probly a 10" barrel and spikes tactical lower.

Here's your upper right here for under $400; just over $500 with a BCG.

You should be able to put a lower together for under $300, with $200 left over for BATFE.
