Idea rifle
I don't think you can go wrong with a $2000 rifle or one you pieced together for $550. I think the key is to know your equipment period. I'll take a $550 carbine that I've shot extensively over a "tier 1" or what ever the term, that I run a couple hundred rounds through a year. I fault no one for buying what they want. What ever you decide. shoot it alot be safe and above all have some fun. That just me.

just get a BCM (Bravo Company) very high quality no BS overpricing. I would recommend a midlength gas system also
I was able to build the following for a little above $1500:
BCM midlength + Daniel Defense Lite 12.0 Rail
BCM M16 Bolt Carrier Group + BCM Gunfighter Charging Handle
CMMG lower + H Buffer + G&R Lower Parts Kit
