unless its your SHTF gun I wouldn't care. I mean if your going to have to break a lock, drop it over a building before climbing down or crack somebodies skull take it off.

If not, maybe not quite as stable but for the interim its going to do better than a 4 position standard M4 stock.

Bump for a few more opinions.

It's only a range plinker, and is mostly a fashion queen as far as my rifles go.

Just use the damn thing. You thought you were patronizing Magpul and you got hosed. It's not totally your fault, although with a "deal" like that you probably should have known. Unless Magpul is going to give your money back if you send in the stock ( ya right) then just use it until it brakes which probably won't happen if it's just a range gun. No reason for you to take that big of a hit.

They're $212 @ Brownell's. Why would anybody think that they're going to get a $200+ piece @ a gun show for $80? That's like buying a "genuine" Rolex for $125 from a guy on the street and thinking it's a real Rolex!

A little hostile without reason there, bud.

And to TC, I'd say use it in a gun rest for a few hundred rounds and see if it loosens up. If it does, put some blue loctite on it. If it breaks, it was only 80$, and that's a miniscule lesson learned.

Just put a dab of blue locktite on the screw and don't worry about it. Personally, I'd just learn the lesson and move on. The knock-off will probably be fine for you for many years.

Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas and oil, as well as current market conditions, the Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off.

Hell I'll buy it from you if you feel that bad about it. I owe no allegiance to magpul.

I've wanted one of those stocks for my precision ar but I've had a real hard time figuring out why they cost over $200.

Alright guys, I'll use it and post a range report, as well as a more in-depth analysis of the few impurities it has.

$255 is a lot of money to spend on a stock, but there's an absolutely horrid looking one out there for around $400, so I figured the PRS wasn't too off the deep end.

Wasn't being hostile...but whatever you say, chief.

What are you guys saying to lock-tite if it gets "loose"?

Good to see that you are going to keep it. May as well use it until it brakes, which may be never, rather than throwing it under the bus without giving it a shot.
