I have the hooded duplex sight. I liked it but took it off just because I couldn't get used to it. In low light situations it's hard to see the crosshairs but a guy I know painted the crosshairs green and said he loved it. If you are interested in the one I have i'll sell you mine for cheap. Otherwise it may just sit in my closet.

I have one on my AR. I think it's great. I seem to be able to get a better acquisition and can be more accurate than with just a post. For me anyway. YMMV.

I'm going to put one on my AK as well. I have long considered hitting it with some paint as well. Green or Red would be my favorite.

I bought one a long time ago. I still have it somewhere. I took mine off because I use an EOtech on that particular gun and the sight picture was just too busy for me. When I used it without the EO it did work out fairly well though. YMMV.

I haven't gotten around to trying it out on any of my other AR's though. Now you've got me thinking... where did I put that dang thing.

Found it, man I hate it when I misplace stuff. LOL.

Tritium might be kind of cool especially if it could be like a Tru-Glo so you get the fiber optic thing going during the day and the tritium glow at night.
