40rd AR mags as cheap as $10

Single Ar - 15 / M16 Mag, Magazines & Clips, Mil-Spec at Sportsman's Guide

Just thought I'd spread the love on this deal. I'm considering buying the 10-pak myself. I don't even have an AR yet, but I have never seen mags this cheap.

Unfortunately these aren't "name brand" so I guess it's a matter of luck whether you get some that are reliable for competition. If you're a plinker like me though, probably a good deal.

if you know whats good for you, you will pass and buy a good 30 round mag.

or the cmmg 42 round mags, that have a good rep.

no name 40 round mags dont have a good rep

you can get aluminum 30 rounders for around 10 and pmags for around 15

but buying ONE of these for fun only i dont see a problem but im willing to bet you will have problems with the mag.

most ar15 problems are from mags, ammo, or maintenance

The CMMG mag has worked well for me as have the Nordic coupled mags.(Pmags and Lancers 48 rounds) Your dead on about no name 40 round mags sucking. They do big time.As do the DPMS 45 round mags.

I bought 2 forty-round Bushmaster mags a few years back and never could get them to feed properly. That's my only expirience, I stuck them in storage somewhere and forgot about them until now, I should have sold them for big money back when every one was freaking out about 30 round mags getting banned! Lol!
