Some videos of me at a rifle match - XDTalk Forums

Hi these are some videos from a match on 10-10 and 10-11. The 10th was a pistol match with 4 stages and the 11th was a rifle match with 1 pistol rifle stage and 2 rifle only stages. There was approximately 25 shooters. I am still waiting on the results from the match. It takes the club a while to post them. Yes I know I have huge spare tire. Working on that flaw. Here is the rifle I am using

STI EDGE in 40 sw with 21 round mags.
Anyway enjoy the videos.

I got 1st place in rifle and 1st place in Limited class in pistol. I got 3rd in the overall. I was beat by two open shooters in handgun.

Watching the videos, I was surprised how little apparent recoil there was from your .40.

Actually it was weird because it was really warm for that time of year. It got up to the mid 50's in the afternoon. Started in the high 30's in the morning. Usually there is snow on the ground that time of year and its around 0.

That is a new load that is loaded to 170 power factor with Vitavory N320 powder under a 180 grain bullet. Faster powder and a heavy bullet gives less recoil. Not sure why. Just following the advice I got on Brian Enos forum. It seemed to work.

Yea I need to work on that. Long Alaska winters don't help.
