AR Trigger Pull length

Just got through assembling my very first lower. When I push the hammer down and pull the trigger, the trigger barely moves at all. Is this normal? The hammer does release properly but I figured it would have a longer trigger pull. It's a spikes lower and RRA LPK.

unless it's a 2 stage it will have a short trigger pull. hopefully you are aware that dropping the hammer without something to stop it (such as a complete upper, or there are blocks for dry firing, or just use your hand) is not good for your lower, you run the risk cracking it.
