.50 Beowulf -vs- Hog... PIC inside
Finally had a chance to take a hog with my .50 BW. Used the AA 334gr JHP hand loaded to 1900fps. Dropped in her tracks. Range was about 65-70 yards or so.

I've been tossing up the idea of building up another AR in one of "those" calibers. .458 SOCOM, .50 Beowulf etc etc
You're not making this easy on me.

Believe it or not, it is a Tasco shotgun scope. 1.5 x 4.5 power. Has survived almost 100 or so rounds with no issues. Was only $70.00 or so I think.
The .50 BW does pack a whole lot of punch, but range IS limited. Personally, I won't shoot at anything beyond 125 yards or so. This is my close up hunting rifle of choice for those "hard to knock down" hogs.

I reload, have several hundred pieces of brass... ammo is no issue.
