Quick reddot ?'s

Ok, if you have a reddot on a rifle, does it to cowitness?

With a magnifier does it have to cowitness with anything?

If i didnt want it to would it still be accurate?

No, magnified you won't be able to clearly see your front sight anyway

Yes, of course. The dot doesn't need anything else to work ... much like a scope. Co-witness is for backup in case the RDS fails.

I like lower 1/3 co-witness because the field of view is clearer than it would be in absolute co-witness.

If I was a rich boy, I would put a magnifier behind my Aimpoint on a LaRue pivot mount.

Aimpoint 3X Magnifier 11324 With LaRue Tactical QD Pivot Mount LT649

In fact, I will have it some day... oh yes, I will!

I use an Aimpoint on a Larue mount with a regular front sight base and Troy Folding Battle sights (rear)... this gives me a lower 1/3 co-witness. I have considered getting the magnifier, but I haven't found a need for it yet.
