Anyone that knows anything knows that your optic will sometimes cost as much, if not 2x more than your gun. Mostly on a bolt action, but for an ACOG it will cost as much as I payed for my rifle. Its what you call QUALITY. If you wanna be a weekend range commando/safe queen/ cheap ass buy whatever you want. But don't get your panties in a bunch when the majority of the people on here are trying to steer you clear of a train wreck.
What did you buy? An Oly, DMPS? No wonder your only looking at $100. I recommend patience and research. It is what has led me to enjoy every gun/accessory I have purchased.

I bought this one from 1337 tactical a while back and it works fine for my range rifle. I use it on my A1 carry handle but it also comes with a rail mount. It has the same hole as a real ACOG to use my irons, as well as its own secondary irons on the scope. I figure the likelihood of me ever using a scope in "self defense" and not going to jail afterward are pretty low, so it's perfect for my use and $160.

What I think is funny about these threads is that no one EVER gives a reason not to go with a sight that's non-name brand. They are just filled with short man syndrome douche bags like the guy above talking ****. Maybe for once you should try helping someone by teaching them what a $1000-1300 sight offers that a cheap one doesn't. Obviously a facog isn't going to work as well or be near the quality, but what about primary arms aimpoint clones? Someone said they were bad earlier, with shockingly, no facts to back it up.

Ok, how about you tell me why they are better. ACOG's don't go for 1000+ because they can. Its quality in construction. Able to take the abuse. No "settling in" when dialing the adjustments. A fiber optic to light the ACOG to the correct brightness during the day, and a tritium tube to light it at night. Purged glass so you don't get fogging. Cheap ones don't go there, I know, I have cheap bino's that are trash now. Research and devolpment, tried and true use in the field. What more do you want?
Now, what have YOU added to this thread other than calling out your own "short man douche syndrome"?
