Horrible company. Their "Cat-What-Am-In-Charge" is one of the worst jerks (seriously, he has psychological problems!) in the gun business. I'd never do business with them!!!

Could you explain in a bit more detail please? Was it bad customer service or other business practice? Is it a bad product? I see the pricing on some of their accessories is way too rich for me. But, some are not. I'm sure there more than a few business owners that are whacked in the head.

Wish I could think of the guy's name, but I believe his first name is Bob. He'd throw tantrums at customers, actually throwing an AR across his showroom at one customer. Would not stand behind the products, which, btw, have a terrible reputation for quality.

ASA has an absolutely HORRIBLE reputation for poor quality products and even WORSE customer service. I tried and tried to get one of their bull-barreled uppers running for a friend of mine that picked one up as an "extra" for his AR lower. It was an absolute trainwreck. Shotty workmanship throughout the upper which looked like it had been assembled by a rabid band of monkeys. That was about four or so years ago IIRC.
As for the whack-job that threw tantrums, etc., I thought that joker got ran out of the company on a rail and that ASA was bought out by a guy named John Sirockman (sp?...maybe not). I was also under the impression that the new guy was attempting to turn things around, but as far as I know...their stuff is still junk.
They were working on an HK-style side-charging handle upper that looked promising, but I don't know whatever happened to it and frankly, as bad as their rep is already...I don't think I'd try one out unless they gave me one for free for T&E.
