GM Hydramatic

Any thoughts when a GM Hydramatic A-1 would have been built? The a-1 was re-stamped A-2

I fired a GM Hydramatic A1 in Basic in 1982. By the looks of it was made well before that date.

Best Guess About 1967 Or 1968 For About Two Years

If memory serves (always suspect and probably wrong) between 1967 and 1968 and made for 2 or 3 years. All were M16A1 with flat slip rings, A1 handguards and pistol grips and middle era or type teardrop assists?? Some help here please. A very long time ago. Gawd I'm getting old. HB of CJ

My son is in his AIT and he called to tell me of the "old" gun they gave him and asked if I ever heard of it. He is an experienced highpower shooter and knows old when he sees it!
