Ammo at walmart
Is the 45 cal auto ammo walmart sells the same as the 45 acp ammo walmart sells? Will the 45 auto shoot in my xd-45 acp or will I have problems?

Yes, the A in ACP stands for Automatic...the C P is Colt Pistol.
You can't shoot 45 Colt or 45 Long Colt in your XD.

I buy the Winchester White Box (WWB), 45 AUTO, 100 rounds at about $28. ea. Haven't found anyone cheaper. The Remington JHP green box 45 AUTO, Value Pak runs around $10. more.
Incidentally, today while buying some more WWB, the clerk told me he'd had a run on 9mm since yesterday, and was almost sold out of all 9mm ammo. He had a full cabinet yesterday. People seem to be taking advantage of the $18. per box price.
