What is meant by COL?

I know OAL..OverAll Length but in the reload data alot of the times I see COL.
What is COL??

Not 100% sure but I think it refers to case length.

COL, COAL, OAL... they are all the same thing.

But OAL refers to your finished product: Total length of case + seated bullet. COL (COAL) is just the case without the bullet, which is important as a case that's too far off spec can cause chambering problems, right?

for 223:

the max OAL is 2.26"

the max COAL is 2.26"

the max COL is 2.26"

So unless you know something we don't, I always figured they were the same.

I think it means Cartridge Overall Length so to me COL makes the most sense. I guess the guy who labled it OAL or COAL does not know how to spell. He probably thought overall was 2 words.
