Armscor Ammo

Aimsurplus has a pretty good deal on Armscor 9mm - $7.95 for box of 50.
It's a 124grn lead round nose bullet.
I'm a big fan of Armscor 1911's (Rock Island), wondering if anyone has shot this stuff and if there are any concerns about unjacketed lead bullets.

I have not used any of their 9mm ammo but I have used their .38 special, .357 magnum , .22 magnum and .223 ammo. What I have found is that it is very dirty ammo.
The .357 was loaded very hot, much hotter than other normal factory loads (nowdays anyway). The .22 mag loads and .223 I both found to not be very accurate and inconsistent. The .38 was ok but nothing special. It was ALL dirty.
You get what you pay for with Armscor ammo, cheap price=cheap performance.
I think your better off sticking with Winchester White Box for around the same cost.

Yeah for that price I would stick to a fjm, it is only 2 USD more for WWB. Maybe i am also a bit spoiled because I am loading LRN 9mm for about 6.50 USD/box

I didnt find the Armscor .223 to be any dirtier than WWB when it was available in this area. It is cleaner than wolf and shot acceptably out of my old Bushmaster Dissapator.
