I'm ordering in a few minutes
Im ordering the Lee classc turret with kempf kit from kempf.com in 9mm. Is there anything else, equipment wise, that I should order from the site at the time of order. Lube, calipers, a separate scale. Please help a beginner out

The best advise that you'll get from me; have a good friend, that knows about reloading, is doing it, and is willing to show you how and watch over your first few attempts! When reloading, you are making miniature pipe-bombs. They are dangerous and require more than luck. You would probably be better off to buy locally and tell the proprietor that you are just beginning. He may offer to tutor you and he may even give you some discounts and special deals in order to win you over as a good repeat customer.

Per above, calipers, scale and at least one reloading manual. Follow the instructions for setting up the seating & crimp dies. Set the seating die per the instructions, then fine tune it. Check the length, then adjust & check again until you get the correct length. Same with the crimp die. I set mine up without seating primers or dropping powder. It took about 6 rounds to get the seating & crimping right. Also, the lever that holds the primer for seating sometimes stuck in on my press. I took it out & polished the sides with 400 sandpaper & now it works fine. If yours sticks, look at it & you'll see shiny spots where polishing will help.

I'm still in the setup phase and haven't actually made any rounds.
Minature Pipe Bombs ... Good analogy If you haven't read something like this ... Perhaps this would be a good place to start.

I would love to buy it locally and have someone explain it, but the closest thing to a gunshop around in new jersey is dicks....and the 22 year old behind the counter is only interested in "M16's" or "AK's"
