Reloading light for a Dillon press
Came up with a low cost solution for adding a light to the reloading press.

That works out pretty good on a 650. Necessity is the mother of invention. I have a 550B so I'm lacking the extra station. Been using a book lite I found at Borders. It has a spring clip at one end and a led light at the other joined with about six inches of plastic coated wire. The spring clip grabs part of the frame and then I bend the light into position. The coin size lithium batteries only last about 8 hours. I have one of those fiber optic attachments for a Mini Mag light. Been meaning to find it and see if I can make it work.

I wear an LED headlamp. Works very well and lasts a long time. I have it angled down a bit so it shine directly into the case after the powder drops.
Take care, Dave |

Looks like the nod goes to panther for the best location. Never occurred to me to use the center hole on the tool head and all models have it. You might want to share it with Dillon. Maybe if they market something like it they might compensate you. This is the kind of collaborations I like to see on the forums.

I attach a clamp-type, goose-neck reading lamp to the case feeder of my 650. I'm using a squiggly fluorescent bulb, so the lamp doesn't heat things up.

I didn't try looking for an existing product (such as the one Panther provided). I guess by not doing so, I saved a couple of $$.
I tried moving mine to the center hole on the 650's toolhead and it worked OK there too. Gave more lighting to the rest of shellplate.

Need to run over to Cabelas today for more bullets today, I guess that also means checking out the lights too.
