I buy from a local gun store and I stay away from walt mart around here they are to expensive to buy from anyway.

I buy most of my target ammo from wal mart and some from a local gun shop that has good prices. I have bought some hp's from midway as well.

I have a new question, but I'll let it ride this thread to see if I can get some answers.


What are the benefits of heavier v lighter bullet weights?

I see .40 S&W in 135, 165, and 180.

Pros and cons of each?

u just picked up a crap loaded of 7.62 russian from J&G - i get my practice ammo for my XD at walmart and my AK ammo from local stores.

Lighter=faster, less recoil, less penetration, usually better expansion but will stop sooner. Good if you're worried about going through walls and the like
Heavier=slower, heavier recoil, more penetration, harder hitting
Good for dropping game/BG's.
Depends on your usage/personal preferences
