A friend of mine has the FN FiVeSeVeN pistol. Its a really fun gun to shoot and an insteresting cartridge. minimal recoil, but kinda on the expensive side.
Has anyone done any penetration testing on this round, in praticular the Hornady 40gr V-Max round. Whats everyones opinion on this cartridge? my google searching isnt turning up any penatration or expansion testing ty

In its civilian form, its basically a 22 mag. It won't penetrate intermediate barriers... I wouldn't use if for defensive use, although it is sort of fun.

Damien in Seattle I don't list my guns - I know glocks, FALs, and AKs but I'm not sure my ability to fill a gunsafe with guns make me an expert on anything. All that you can depend on from a 45 is that it will drill a .45 - .70 inch hole about 14 inches into someone. There will not be "energy dump", people will not fly backwards, and they will not necessarily fall as if they have been struck by lighting. |
