If it was an either 9mm or 45 I could understand but if you already invest in a 550 for 45 then all you need for 9mm is a conversion kit, dies, and toolhead. You also need the raw materials but that actually tanslates into loaded rounds.

You can always find used Dillon 550 stuff if you look around.
I agree. If you are buying the gear to reload 45, all you need is a shell plate & dies to do 9mm. You can load 9mm for at least 1/2 of WWWB, how can that not be worth it (Ignore that ERIC).

What I mean is that right now it does not make sense for me. 9mm bulk ammo is still pretty cheap. It is the .45 that is killing me on price now. I want to shoot more for close to the same money. When I get a range 9MM i plan to reload. I used to have a G17. I save all my brass, even .22, that just gets sold. In the future I plan on reloading for 9MM and also .223 for an AR I have my eyes on. I am also eying the Ruger LCP, so .308 is in the future for me. I plan to reload since I have a hard time finding cheaply available .308.

The press seems the best for expandability and speed of reloading. I plan on multiple toolheads and dies for the other calibers. I also have a friend that wants to go in for some other setups for other rifle rounds. Not to mention it seems to really crank out rounds once you get going.

I really like the PF-9 and was carrying it everyday either IWB or ankle while at work but I think that the assembly pin shearing is a design flaw so I am looking for something else. My PF-9 is purty though, nickel plated, mirror finish, fluffed and buffed all the rest. I also have the outside looking much better.

Thanks for the input. I am still learning reloading and appreciate any input.

I shoot about 1000 rounds a month of .45.

The PF-9 about 200 a month. It's 3 months old now.
