Question Leverevolution

Is this ammo any good for revolvers? I've seen a few Hornady adds with them loaded into a wheel gun, but I've always been under the impression the whole point of the cartridge was for lever guns.

Basically, it looks cool, and if they work, it'd look pretty badass to carry those around

I have no idea about using them in a wheel gun, but I've shot a few of the 45-70's out of a long stick and those barked like hell.... but shot very well!

Hornady's website says they are made for wheelguns too. I've thought about them for deer hunting in my .44 and .357 magnums.

Well, from my understanding they are realy designed for tube magazines, hence the tip. THey were supposed to give better ballistics due to the tip, but it won't KB if you hit the gun or anything...using them in revovlers was just a secondary.

Any gel tests of these or anything? I wish I had access to a private range...I'd throw up some water jugs and do it myself...

I wish they'd sell their Leverevolution bullets separately... I'd love to make up some hot .44's with that high a BC bullet.

Next time I'm out I'm going to buy a box if the price is reasonable. If anything, they'll look BADASS in picks, and should do alright as a sidearm when I'm up north. It'd be nice to know if they are any better at putting a bear out of business over a JHP.

"I used your 45-70 LEVERevolution to take this 235 pound black bear in Ontario, Canada. One shot at 30 yards with complete pass thru and blackie went less than 25 feet. Thanks for a great round!"

I came so close to buying some today for my .357, but talked myself out of it at last minute.

Maybe I'll get some tomorrow to take to the range with me on Monday. I'll give a range report if I do. Trying out the new LCP that I just got today will be my main focus though.

Well, I'm picking up my .357 tomorrow as well, and if the range I frequent carries them, I'll buy a box or two.
