Federal HST Q

After reading positive opinions I ordered some of this stuff for all of my guns. It arrived in the mail today and it has a steel looking silver case instead of brass. Is this true and if so does anyone know why? The range I go to only allows brass ammo!

Nickel plated. Very high quality ammo.

They're great rounds, your range shouldn't have a problem with them.

I just gave one of my friends who bought a S&W MP 9mm compact 2 boxes of Federal HST 124 +P and 147 plus a box of Winchester LE 124 +P ammo to try for carry ammo. He is going to order me several boxes more from ammotogo later this month.

Good rounds, I haven't had a problem with them at all.

Here is a link to a guy who did some great testing with several JHP's. Federal HST was one he tested. I'm planning on doing some of my own testing later this month and will post some pics.

Federal HSTs and Speer Gold Dots are both good JHP rounds, buy whichever is least expensive

I bought gold dots 124gr 9mm, shot off two mags in the service, two mags in the SC, everything fed fine.
