Gotcha.

This year I actually had the rep fire my XD-40 and Kel-Tec p3AT, both loaded with Cor-Bon DPX ammo that I had been carrying for several months. The same exact expansion was seen. The .40 penetrated about 15" and the .380 penetration was about 9".

The rounds below are .380, .357 Mag, .44 Special and .50 Special. The .44 and the .50 still have some denim inside.

Is that good enough for you?

thats awsome man, thanks for posting. Glad i went with the DPX, they look nasty

Speer Gold Dot Short Barrel in my XD40SC based only on talk with Speer and reading online. I recently changed from standard Gold Dots and the short barrel rounds have a much bigger hole in the hollowpoint for expansion at the slower velocity from a 3" barrel. I would like to see some photos of these rounds that have been fired.

I found this site.
Brass Fetcher Ballistic Gelatin Testing
It has different calibers (from airguns to shotguns), manufactures, and gelatin testing on it.
Lots of detail and pics.
It may or may not be of help.
It was interesting to browse thru..

Just today I switched from Gold Dot 124 +p Short Barrel to Federal HST 147 +p. I made the change from test results I got from my XD9-SC over the last two days. My results are posted in The Ammo Can.
