Aluminum Casing
Is the CCI blazer aluminum case ammo very hard on the extractor like the wolf is? Was going to buy some 9MM for my XD.

Aluminum? You mean steel?
I never use steel cased ammo but I would imagine it would wear the extractor faster...it is harder than brass, gotta cause more wear, but it may not be a big issue. edit: Ahh. I see CCI does make some with AL cases. I would imagine they dont cause much (if any) extra wear. |

The OP is talking about the CCI Blazer Ammo that has an aluminum case, not the wolf ammo that has a steel case. I have shot about 200 rounds of the CCI blazer with the aluminum case and have not noticed any problems yet. I assume that the aluminum would not hurt the extractor (which I hope is made of steel) because the aluminum is a softer metal.

Nope, aluminum is very soft & won't provide add'l. wear on the extractor.

I was just curios, it states that it is aircraft grade aluminum. I thought maybe it was a little tougher that soda can aluminum.

I've shot thousands without a problem, they do leave alluminum shavings which clean up easily in some guns.
