Is it safe??
Will a ported (V10) handle +P and or +P+; I have read online of XDV10 owners having cracked barrels after 1500 rounds of standard ammo. All opinions welcome because this is my first ported handgun and the thought never even crossed my mind before I bought it.

All of the +P+ ammo I have seen is IMI (UZI) smg ammo and warns specifically against using in a hand gun and that is a warning I would heed. +P should be fine.

Thanks, but the ammunition that I have is for handgun use, I see no warnings on the boxes. Federal Hydrachock +P+ in 9mm. My question is- Is it safe to run high charged ammo through a ported barell in a self- defense situation or even fifty rounds every now and than at the range? |
