Anyone got a recipe for reloading 9mm's to make major?

I have CCI primes, winchester casings

Still need 147 grain bullets, powder, and the recipe.

9mm Major can only be used in an Open gun. 147gr bullets are not recomended for that power factor. 115-125gr bullets work best.

See, I did not know that! Thanks. Already helped me. Do you have a recipe for making major? I just bought a reloading book, but does not have major loads. I do prefer to buy ammo already loaded, but don't want to pay a fortune.

I know atlanta ammo and arms sells it. I will call them today most likely and post the price on here in case others want info on it. I am sure theres other places that you can order 9mm major already loaded.

Thanks for the help so far

Do you have an Open gun? 9mm major is not for a regular 9mm pistol. it has too much pressure to be safely fied in anything but a gun built specifically for it.

Your reloading book will not have loads for 9mm major because they go off the charts. Where a simple 9mm load may stop at 5gr for a certain powder the 9mm major can go as high as 8gr.

Most 9mm +P+ will not compare to 9mm major. There are components and bullet combos that you can use to get a low pressure 165 power factor out of but you still need to shoot it in an Open gun.

DO NOT SHOOT 9mm Major in a regular 9mm handgun.

If you want good information about 9mm major then please contact Jojo Vidanes at
JVDynamics.com - Custom Guns
He is the best source for 9mm major information you can get. He also builds some really nice 9mm major guns.
