With the price of Ammo going up, I was wondering if y'all can give a newbie some advice.

Where can I find good quality ammo in bulk? (.45ACP)

Any brands I should stay away from?

I was planning on buying from ammoman.com in a few days...

Are you able to get DEEP discounts for LARGE quantities of ammo? I don't want to buy 10,000 rounds of 9mm if it's just 5% lower then Cabelas...but if we're talking like 30-50% off, I'd do it.

I would like bulk .22. The 550 round boxes just aren't cutting it. They only last a couple hours!

at the price .22lr is selling for you can afford a case of it

well sadly 500 to 1500 isnt really considered bulk through most companies.

your best bet for that amount of ammo is walmart probably. that way you avoid shipping costs.

For 500 rounds you can get the case price for Remington UMC at Dick's Sporting Goods when it is on sale if you have one near you. Last week the price on .45 ACP was $15.98 per box of 50. (10 boxes gets you the case price.)

For mail order, GerogiaArms.com will sell you 500 rounds of .45 ACP for $140 / 1000 rounds for $270. Shipping cost depend on where you live and how far they have to ship it.

I've been trying real hard to find CCI mini mags bulk for a good price...seems I can only get as low as $5.50/100, or in that range. I can get that price at cabelas...
