Reload Bench porn
No more reloading on the coffee table with my Lee Hand press, Finally got my reload room all set up. Will do everyting in here except for tumbling.
Single Stage Lee classic press to deprime, size, and swage (aka remove crimp from primer area). Hornady Lock-N-Load AP Progressive press to do the rest. TV to keep me occupied. I use my portable Mikata drill with Lee Ball Cutter and Lee chamfer tool to trim and chamfer cases. ![]() Tumbling Area ![]() High Marks goes to the RCBS media separator. The RCBS tumbler is not as nice as the Purple one I got from Harbor Freight. The cheaper one from Harbor Freight has on/off switch, rubber gasket on lid as well as on top washer, better plastic (The plastic on the RCBS seems more brittle), and his a lot heavier, which is a good thing since it will be harder to accidently kick over. Both units are fairly quiet and both seem to work about the same. Cap of New Finish car wax makes brass nice and shiny in a limited time (1.5 hours). Used Dryer sheet (Bounce) is added to collect dust, and some say it makes the media (Walnut) stay fresher longer. Most Gun store has 5 lbs of Media for about $20, Harbor Frieght has $25 lbs for $20. ![]() Last edited by EricCartmann : 05-11-2008 at 01:22 AM. Reason: add better title |

thanks for the props fellas. the last pic is actually the the 2nd pic but cropped and enlarged
this room is actually my office, office desk on one side and sofa and bench press bench on the other side. I had to take out the sofa and bench press bench to make room for the reload bench, so I had to make sacrifices |

Here is some more Reloading Bench Porn and what motivated me to do my set up. One setup belongs to AR15barrels, the other belongs to a buddy.
Both or these guys played a part in motivating me to get my Bench all set up. ![]() ![]() |

What no spilled powder, primers array on the bench? You need to get to work my man. Actually looks like a good set up I too have my reloading bench in my office. I also have the HF tumbler which does a pretty good job for the $30 it cost me. Every once in a while if I tumble a lot of brass for a few days straight it will turn off and on, on its own. I also use walnut, but it does get annoying when it sticks in the primer pockets if I happened to deprime them first.

I've given up on Nufinish. Leaves residue on my brass. Possibly used too much, but still. Ended up trashing a load of corn cob. Now I either use nothing or a little Hornady polish, or maybe Fltiz.

Use 1 capfull of nufinish and let it run for an hour and a half to two. Any less time and it will have a residue, any more than a capfull will leave a residue or gunk up inside the case.
