Holy shizzle...just when you think you've heard it all...

This just reminded me of all those cartoons where one guy, usually the good guy, puts his finger in the barrel of the gun and the gun blows up in the face of the shooter.

Perhaps I'm dating myself with that reference since I think guns have been banned from cartoons for a long time now.

If you load them to the same OAL as 230 gr Ball they will stick every time. This is why it is important to check and double check reloading data. I have been reloading for 40 years and still will not shoot anybody elses reloads. Lucky you checked, you certianly avoided a disaster

Thanks, skyguy, I hadn't thought of that. That makes sense, if the cartridge is too long, the bullet will be forced into the ways then the extractor will pull the brass back.

I think that I will build me a go-no-go gauge for each caliber. Maybe some kind of a feed ramp that will catch any long ones. Now all that I have to do is figure out a way to check for those short ones, they can mess with your day too!

I've got my own Dillon 550B coming in this week, I won't be using anybodies equipment or anybodies ammo again!
