Magtech 9mm

A local store has magtech 9mm case (1000rnds) for $140. Is this a good deal? I've never shot magtech before but the price seems right.

Thanks

I've never shot magtech before but that's cheaper than I can WWB for, so I would say the price is good. I'd like see if anyone comments who has actually shot it.

I think Walmart WWB is like $18/box here. BUt I dont want to end up with 1000 rnds of ammo I cant use. When I bought my XD service, the guy told me I could shoot just about anything but advised me to run away from anything by WOLF.

Hey nivra!! I ordered a XD 9mmsc and have been waiting unpatiently for it and I've been checking ammo prices and I got some blazer brass for just under $9.00 (50 rounds) at walmart. Funny thing is that the Walmart I usually go to doesn't sell Blazer Brass but the Walmart close to the South Carolina border did. Sorry I went off topic but check this thread out

"magtech" ammo????

Yes, but I must have missed the second post. I saw .40 and thought that what the whole thread was about. If you look toward the bottom of the post. Another guys says he had the same issue with Magtech in the 40 round.

I guess I might have to buy a box to test out first. Sounds like a trip to the range is in order.

I had one of the problems with the Magtech .40 rounds. Lots of people on XDtalk like Magtech. I would suggest that you try several different rounds before you buy 1,000 rounds of anything.

Yeah it sure wouldn't hurt to buy a box and see how it feeds plus you have an excuse to shoot!!

Yesterday I shot off 100 rounds of WWB & 50 rounds of Magtech, I couldn't tell any difference. Granted I am new to this but it functioned just fine.

(I also shot 50 rounds of American Eagle worked just fine)

Magtech is great ammo! Atleast in my experience with it. I've had more problems with white box than Magtech over the years.

That is a freakin' awesome deal!! That ammo is very high quality. I used it with great results in the Mud pit of the USPSA 2007 Area 5 championships.
