Reloading Bench
I expect to order a 550B and goodies shortly and am aware that a good bench is advised. So, are there any good benches to be recommended? I know I could build something out of heavy lumber and that would do the trick but what about store bought benches? Any sources?

Whatever you buy/build, make sure that it will not flex or wobble. The press needs to be vibration free for the powder measure to do its best. Bolt it to something, wall, floor, etc. I built my bench using 2X4 and 2x6's lagged to the wall, and 3/4 inch plywood for the top. Braced the hell out of it! Screwed everyg.

Another way to go is a heavy guage steel work bench from Craftsman or sim. Get the one w/ storage shelves instead of drawers & load the shelves up w/ components for extra wt. I built mine using cheap kitchen bottom cabinets & a solid wood top.

Costco and Sam's club got a very nice Heavy Duty bench that is 80" long by 24" wide. Legs are heavy gauge steel and powder coated. Top is very thick and pretty maple. So pretty that it is almost a shame to drill it. Goes for only $200.

I built my own, less than $100.00 in it.
