Ammo price sticker shock!

I've read several threads and posts about ammo prices going up...but I was shocked at the price of a 50 round box of Remington Core-Lock .45 185gr JHP at a local gun shop.....$48.00 + tax!!! I looked at Wally World and several other places today and only found 230gr FMJ, in various amounts 50-100 in a box ranging from $18.00-$36.00 + tax depending on the brand,..no personal defence ammo at any location. I guess I'll start saving pennies to invest in a reloader...it wouldn't take many boxes of factory ammo to pay for a decent reloader!

I'll give a thumbs up for ammunition to go, it was like 3 days from order to it being here, and great prices. The delivery guy wasn't too happy about that tiny box weighing 25lbs but oh well.

GREAT LINK! Wow, I just bought my first 1911, first .45 actually. I knew feeding it would be expensive, but that's outstanding.

They are EXCELLENT to do business with!!! I agree that my UPS man is not very excited about delivering those ATG packages to my house!

yeah great customer service.. they doubled my order of 12 gauge ammo, so I called and told them about it... and they offered to have UPS pick up the extra or I could give them my credit card number and they would charge me for the extra ammo they sent me on their mistake. I didn't mind paying for the extra ammo, but if I really could afford it, I would have ordered it the first time. I have ordered more from them since, just because of their prices and speedy delivery.

Thanks for that link.

And yes, the UPS guy gives me grief every time he shows up. Last time he was lugging a 50 pound case of 308.
