400 more rounds of 9mm on the streets now

I just about cleared out walmarts supply of 9mm 100 rnd boxes.

The woman said there is a shortage of it and the warehouse is cleaned out.

@ $18 a box or $.18/shot, it's not a bad deal. And I didn't have to show I.D.

I bought what my local WMT had on hand 2 weeks ago (11 boxes) and I've been back a couple of times since to find out they haven't restocked yet. They say the same thing, they can't get any more in right now.

Funny thing: I went to Wal Mart at lunch break today to buy a few boxes of Blazer Brass 40s to run through the Glock22 this weekend and saw that they had all Winchester Super-X 16 gauge shells on sale for 3.50 a box. (!!!)

Needless to say, I cleared out the entire shelf! 16 gauge shells for 3.50 a box...holy crap! The Super-X line, too...not the cheap promo loads. I have not seen that since the early 80s. Bought all 12 boxes of #6 and 7.5 shot they had. Now I am set for a few dove seasons!

If you shoot a 16 gauge, check your Wal Mart...chances are they all are clearing out their 16 gauge selections and if you know about the price and avaiability of 16 gauge shells - that is a screaming deal!

(yes...I am checking all other close Wal Marts for the same deal this afternoon)

- Brickboy240

(and yes...two more boxes of evil 40SW just hit the street, too...heh heh!)

It is a bad deal compared to a few years ago when it was selling for about $11 for the same thing, and Academy Sports had 50 rd's of 9mm Blazer for $3.86 a box, just makes me sick.

With ammo prices going up, do you think it's a good idea to buy some 9mm ammo, despite not owning a 9mm right now? I'll probably make the purchase sometime this month...but should I start stocking up now?

Hell, I've already started stocking up on gas...I have about 50 gallons sitting in my parents garage right now, to help offset the cost when it goes above $4/gallon

I remember 6+ months ago, I could go buy a box there of the 100round for around $15 after taxes.
