Cheap TMJ ?

I need to find some good cheap tmj ammo .40 S&W. I am new to shooting and don't really know what i am looking for but i don't want to buy the range ammo cause most people say there is like 200% mark up.
Thanks

If you are reloading pretty much any plated bullet is TMJ. If you are looking for factory TMJ I think your best bet is Speer Lawman ammo. I bought a bunch of that in 9mm right before I started to reload and liked it a lot.

TMJ encloses the entire bullet in a jacket so to speak, no lead exposed. My camera is dead so I can't take any pics to show the difference. As has been said most tmj's are plated and when used to reload LRN data is used.
