Cool, I might look at those as well. I see midway has them on sale, not that they are cheap now. Good hp's are worth the money if you need them.

DPX uses Barnes X bullets made of solid copper. They expand beautifully and lose no weight since there is no case to separate from the lead... indeed there is no lead at all.

DPX is one of the few rounds to reliably and predictably penetrate obstacles such as laminated auto-glass. Not only that but it is a deep penetrator.

So yes... it is an expensive round. You won't be plinking with it. But you will be betting your life on it and money is no object when your life is on the line. Buy only the very best... and that is DPX... IMHO.

Did you buy this yet, XDfan? I was thinking of getting one myself...throw in .38 for range practice, carry with .357. How much are you getting it for?

I should be buying it friday or saturday. I cant wait. It is used, but barely.
When I put it on layaway, the guy working there looked at the price tag and said to the owner of the store, why is this so cheap? $339.
The owner said that a guy bought it for his wife but she was scared to shoot it. The husband put 50 rounds through it and couldnt convince his wife to try it so he sold it and used the money to buy her something else.
It looks like it is brand new.
I took the advice of a few people here and already bought some cor bon dpx hp's. 125 gr.

I am getting it from Lapeer military surplus. They have all kinds of military stuff, but also good prices on new and used handguns. Lots of ak's and old rifles from all over the world. I am just glad I found such a good deal on an almost new revolver. Hopefully I will get to break it in this weekend.
