The volume of a 357SIG case is small enough that I would not expect to see any issues with powder not filling the case enough.
AA#7 was another powder is was looking at for the 357 sig as it should be pretty near full but not so full its compressed. I think I might go a little hotter than 1220fps so perhaps 11gr with a 124gr JHP (Hornady).

Still, I'd still like to know what problems can occurr with a compressed charge and at what level of compression.

What powder would you recommend for a 223 firing a 55gn V-Max bullet (Hornady again)?
