Ordered 2000 rounds of Prvi Partizan

Widener's indicated a 10-15% price increase coming in summer. Current price is $330/1000 rnd case. Getting my ammo before it goes up....again

Just a heads up if anyone is thinking of getting ammo

according to the AR15 forum they are please with it
AR15.COM :: Forums :: Ammunition review - Prvi Partizan/Monarch GREEN box .223

Widener's Reloading and Shooting Supply INC
from Wideners:

Quote:
All headstamped PPU07 , 5.56 x 45. Crimped primers, Lacquer sealed primers, M193 specs. ( This new stuff is 07, we promised, see picture)
This ammo is extremely high quality. Brand new manufactured in 2007. It has PPU07 in the headstamp. Prvi Partizan in Serbia made this ammo to exact M193 specs. Brass case, boxer non-corrosive primed, crimped primer with lacquer seal and loaded with a double base powder for military specs.
Packed in clear heavy plastic battle packs. We could have ordered it in green plastic, but that cost about $20.00 per 1000 more. Not worth it considering the quality of the clear plastic bags.
By now you must know the quality of this ammo. We shot some of this lastest batch and, as expected, it is flawless. It feels like full powder M193 and chronographs to exact specs. The brass is supurb and reloads very nicely. Stock up because we already know that 2008 will be higher due to lead prices finally coming on line. Also, everytime the Euro goes up against the Dollar, all surplus and new ammo goes higher. 10-31-07 saw US interest rates lowered again, so that will drive this ammo higher in price on subsequent shipments. UPDATE: The Euro went up to $1.57 which will drive this M193 ammo as well as all other imports to record highs this summer and fall. LOOK FOR THIS AMMO TO GO TO ABOUT $355/1000.

I've been trying to keep away from Wolf products in mine but may need to go this route soon. Been using Georgia Arms canned heat but after tax and delivery it's $400.00+ for 1K .223. The time spent cleaning up after Wolf might become worth it very soon. I'd love to reload but the family situation does not allow that option.

I am still iffy about the steel case problems, so I try to stay brass. But Im just a plinker so I dont need the super good stuff like Black Hills and Federal

Im currently using PMC Bronze shoots great and consistant. I had only gotten it because I used some $50 online coupon which really helped with the price. Dont have that deal anymore heh so I have to find something along the same price.

I've used Wolf Mil Classic with 0 problems so far in a few thousand rounds. It really isn't that dirty when compared to PMC or Pvri Partisan. I've pushed a few hundred rounds of Federal LC 5.56 that was dirtier than anything I've seen. I like to know that my AR will shoot anything, just in case of a SHTF type of situation.

I've got 2000 rounds of Prvi Partizan that I ordered a few months ago but I have not shot any yet. I've heard nothing but good things so I'm not worried.

I'm on my second case of Prvi. It is good stuff. I have shot major level competition with it. It has never malfunctioned.

I don't know, guys. If we keep stocking up on ammo even when the prices are already through the roof (just because we hear some rumor that it could get worse), what incentive do the ammo manufacturers have to figure out a way to produce it for cheaper? You're playing their game, and they're laughing all the way to the bank.
