Loading .40 S&W

Long story short. My father had about 1700 .40 S&W cases given to him. He would like me to load them for him since he is retired and on a small budget.

Can anyone recomend cheap source of lead round nose .40 S&W bullets for the XD? I found some in LSWC, but the XD gags on any form of SWC round. So flat point or LRN would be great....

Thanks!

Penn Bullets, Pittsbugh, Pa. Welcome To Penn Bullets INC.

There's no such thing as "cheap source of lead bullets" anymore, unless you cast them yourself and your time is worthless.

I also like Precision, but if you want cast lead, these guys are still a bargain. New Page 1

I've ordered from this place several times and have nothing but good things to say about the bullets and the service. 1000 180gr TC $50.91

MASTERCAST BULLETS
Wow, that's a heck of a price. Do you know what their lead time is right now? Sorry for the ignorance, but can you tell me what TC stands for and how they act with XD feed ramps? Do they put any kind of coating or wax seal on theirs?

TC Truncated Cone, I've shot both 180gr .40 and 124gr 9mm TCs with no problems. They lube them with wax. Last time I ordered from them it took a little less than a week to ship them.

What powder and powder weight did you use with the 180gr?
