Best Cheap Ammo From Wally World?

Reloading isn't an option for me right now, when i pick up my xd in 2 weeks i'll be buying 1 or 2 boxes of carry ammo to test for my gun, but i wont be buying range ammo because its so damned expensive even for 9mm. Also i dont want to spit in the dealers face by not buying any ammo off him at all. I'll be back to pick up carry ammo/cleaning supplies every so often but spending 20 bux for 25 rounds from the dealer for FMJ isnt an option for me. All's i've heard is WWB is so great, 100 rounds for 20 bux or so; but people claim its rediculously dirty and hard to clean. Is there any other brands of ammo i can snatch up at wally world for in and around the same price for the same quantity, that burns a little cleaner?

cheap ammo is cheap ammo.
Wally world also sells remington and blazer brass (and i think one other...besides winchester). the blazer is dirty as hell, but it's cheaper by about $1 per 100. I just get that, the XD will shoot anything. Pick up the gun cleaning stuff they have there. Shoot 23049320984 rounds, clean it. shoot some more.

As said above, WWB, winchester white box or Blazer brass are both good running ammo for your XD. I find they are as dirty as almost anything else in my XD40 service.

I shot 1 box of blazer and 2 boxes of monarch today. The XD ate it like candy. The blazer was about $1 cheaper.

WWB is what I use....maybe a little dirty, but that is why we clean our guns, right? Also- don't feel bad about not buying ammo from your gun dealer.....you did just buy a GUN from him, right? If he asks if you need ammo, tell him you already have plenty at home. I NEVER buy ammo from ANY gun dealers...prices are just too high.

Sounds like I need to buy a 9mm to practice with. That ammo is almost half the price of .40.

Reloading for the 9mm yields yet a bigger savings. That is the only reason I bought my XD9.....same practice platform as my XD45 but cheaper to shoot.
