Ammo
Just curious how you guys think the Remington UMC ammo compares to Blazer Brass, and WWB
Is it worth the couple bucks extra to buy it for my .40? Thanks |

I purchased the 100 pack of Remington UMC 115 gr JHP 9mm's--that'll be the only box I buy. After caring them around in magazines for a while I noticed the bullets started slipping in the cases. I emptied my mag's to load some different ammo and noticed a lot of rounds were shorter than others--I could actually pull a few with just my fingers. It appears there is not near enough crimp on this ammo. Never had this problem with any other ammo, like Winchester JHP's or Blazers or my own loads.

ive used both and had no problems. I shot about 150 rounds of UMC and 200 WWB last weekend and had no failures. Here, at least, WWB at wal-mart, is actually 20% cheaper than UMC. I may buy another 250 mega pack of UMC because I really like the plastic trays that come with them. And I want another 5 trays in addition to the 5 I have now to carry WWB. WWB is packed loose in the package. I transfer them to the trays when I depackage the WWB. They are really handy.
On a WWB note, one of my 100 rnd box of WWB came with 106 rnds, and I've had a couple boxes come with 101 rounds. Free ammo is always nice the length of the round of WWB is actually slightly longer than UMC. My pistols are 9mm. However they had no effect on the performance of the gun. WWB here is $16.14 for 100 round box @ walmart. UMC is $51 for 250 rounds @ Academy. So about 4 cents cheaper per round
