I shot 50 rds of this ammunition recently, just to see how it fed/shot - it was a pleasure. I loaded two magazines half/half with WWB 230gr and the +P 230gr, and I could tell when I was shooting the +P, but only because of a slightly increased "push" (very slight) and the 3/4 foot flame coming out of the barrel.

All in all, I think +P ammunition is a hoot to shoot, everybody in the range was gawking. Works great, and recoil increase was very mild.

Hornady makes very good ammo. I like the 200grXTP. IMO, the extra vel. of the +p is wasted on the XTP bullet. It already penetrates deeply & driving it faster will not increase expansion in that bullet, only make it penetrate more. It's one reason I like the 200grXTP. It will penetrate as deep or deeper than most 230grJHP w/ less recoil for faster followup shots.
