This subject is a matter of opinion, and what kind of ammo your gun likes. No one will ever agree that one ammo is better than the rest. Just use what you and your gun like.

Nothing wrong with Hydra Shoks. They are reliable, and nasty. HST's (Hydra shok two's) are even better.

There is nothing wrong with the Hydrashocks. But IMHO I would go with their 185gr Ammo. in the shorter bbl. Handguns.

You will be fine. Shot placement will always be the best SD skill over picking which HP ammo is the best, every time.

I carried them for a long time and still have a few hundred. The only problem I have with them is the weak crimp. They set back after being chambered only one time..
I had a case split but they promptly fixed that mistake, but the setback issues are something I cant just ignore. I carry 200 grain Hornady TAP FTD +p |

I carry Hydrashoks as my duty ammo and feel fine about it; the differences in modern hp ammo seem to be negligible; find a round that your gun shoots accurately and cycles well...
